These prestigious honors are awarded not only for athletic ability, but also for the academic and humanitarian efforts of high school and college student athletes.

The 2009 Michigan High School Athlete of the Year winners are Matthew Conway of Bloomfield Hills, MI and Olivia Stander of Grosse Pointe, MI.  The recipients of the fourth annual College Athlete of the Year Award are Katie Cezat, Hillsdale College basketball phenom, and Tim Hiller, football star of Western Michigan University.

Winners of the 2009 Michigan High School Athlete of the Year Awards were announced last night during the annual Chrysler National Athletic Awards, which were held at the DAC and benefit the March of Dimes.
